A few years ago I was asked to paint skeletons for a "Day of the Dead" Exhibit. I barely know what this celebration was and had never painted a skeleton. I did two pieces for this show and sold them, received 2 commissions to do more and the momentum picked up from there.
This painting, "Flamenco Dancers II", is typical of the Mexican motif in my early paintings. You will see in future blogs that my interpretation of this Mexican Celebrations takes many twists and turns.
